CreativeLive.com Offering Free Aperture 3 Class

by admin on April 8, 2010

If you don’t have access to Apple’s Pro Labs classes, a new venture called creativeLIVE may be the next best thing.

Launched by commercial-photographer extraordinaire Chase Jarvis and Craig Swanson, creativeLIVE offers free online classes in subjects like Studio Photography, Photoshop CS5, HD DSLR Cinema.

Sounds cool, right?

Well, it’s even cooler when you hear the names of the folks teaching the classes. Vincent Laforet teaches the HD DSLR cinema class. You know, the guy who created this little video in his first go-round with the Canon 5D Mark II:

Who else? Scott Bourne is teaching the Aperture 3 class, while David DuChemin of VisionMongers fame is instructing a weekend workshop called Vision-Driven Photography. I’m taking the Aperture 3 class for kicks, and also signed up for “The Creative Eye” with Art Wolfe.

The catch?

The classes are only free during their original runs online. If you need to make one up, or watch one again, you’ll have to pay money.

Other classes include Studio Photography with Zack Arias, What’s New in Adobe Photoshop CS5, and Android Java Apps.

Check out the full list of classes here.
