Aperture vs. Lightroom RAW Conversion

by admin on March 18, 2010

FadedAndBlurred.com recently performed a comparison between Aperture 3, Lightroom 2.6, and the Lightroom 3 beta in RAW conversion image quality.

Here is their conclusion:

It looks to me that Aperture is producing an image that exhibits both lower noise and more detail, than both Lightroom 2.6 and Lightroom 3 beta. Though the Lightroom 3beta image looks to have more noise than Lightroom 2.6, the actual size of the noise looks smaller and more detailed.

Just another reason to consider Aperture.
