Apple Updates RAW Compatibility – Gives Love to Panasonic, Leica, Olympus

by admin on February 26, 2010

Good news for users of Panasonic’s hot Lumix DMC-GF1 camera – Apple just added RAW compatibility for the hot 4/3 system camera. One of the biggest advantages Adobe Lightroom has over Aperture is that Adobe is a heck of a lot better at quickly adding RAW updates for new cameras. I heart Apple but it’s borderline absurd that compatibility for the GF1 (an extremely popular camera) has taken so long to implement in OS X.

Here is the full list of newly-compatible cameras:

* Hasselblad H3DII-50
* Leica M9
* Leica X1
* Olympus E-P1
* Olympus E-P2
* Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1
* Pentax K-7
* Pentax K-x
* Sony Alpha DSLR-A500
* Sony Alpha DSLR-A550
* Sony Alpha DSLR-A850
